Newsletter subscriptions

When you request a subscription, your email and request time are stored to send a confirmation link. You join the newsletter only after confirming. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours; expired request records are removed as the subscription service processes new requests.

Confirmed newsletter contacts and email delivery are managed through Resend. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Resend manages delivery and suppression records, including unsubscribed contacts.

Site operation

The hosting platform processes technical request information to serve and protect the site. Subscription requests use a hashed network identifier for short-lived rate limiting. The application does not add advertising trackers.

Reader contributions

If enabled, reader contributions take place on Stripe’s checkout. Payment details are entered there and are not collected by this application.

Editor access

The editor uses the hosting platform’s sign-in service. Access is restricted to the configured editor account.

To stop receiving the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
